On the 15th of January we left Mt. Cook and headed further north to a small hostel on the countryside called "Rangitata". Usually wild water rafting can be done here ( which is compared to the trip i did in Asia way too expensive). But that day the weather conditions were quite bad. We had lots of fog and rain and so on. On the way to this hostel we stopped at lake Tekapo, which is really a pretty lake. The lake has a wonderful blue color - even if the sky is grey - as you can see in the picture down below. I was not motivated to go for a longer walk that day around the lake (because my foot still hurt a bit), which is why i only walked for about half and hour along the lake and took some pictures.
