After my trip to Dunedin and a short stay in Queenstown, on the 14th of December i jumped back on the Stray bus which should bring me to Mount Cook, which is the highest mountain of New Zealand with a height of 3,754 metres. After my arrival in the hostel, at around 2:40 pm i went for a walk to the Glacier of Mt. Cook. I cannot remember how long it took us to get there but i think it was at least about 2 hours. We were really lucky this day, because the weather conditions were perfect, there was no rain or fog or something like that at all. All in all it was not an easy walk for me, because on that day my foot started to hurt a bit again due to my problems with my achilles tendon.

Mt. Cook |
On my way back from Mt. Cook to the hostel, i accidently ran into a girl from Japan who i had met before on Steward Island :). She was walking the same way to the mountain with two of her friends. It was so nice to meet them => so as a small memory we made this small photo down below.
I think i returned from the walk at maybe around 7 pm. In the evening after i returned from the walk i cooked some dinner, which lasted for ages, because the kitchen was quite busy,
and then at around 9pm a girl walked in and told me that the kitchen closes now, which really confused me, because that's quite early and unusual for a hostel. Well i was lucky, that she was so nice, and let me finish cooking my dinner. After dinner i walked out of the kitchen, and the sky above the mountains looked kind of red because of the sunset. So i quickly ran out of the hostel to take a shot of this "sunset".
